These early 20th-century works from the African American Perspectives collection include texts on education, economic opportunity, racism, and fraternal organizations, as well as periodicals, poetry, and fiction. Highlights are bound volumes of the Brownies’ book, a monthly periodical for children edited by W.E.B. Du Bois, and The Champion Magazine, “a monthly survey of Negro achievement”.
