Washington, DC, 1938 May-December

The legendary jazz composer Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton lived in Washington, DC, for a time, and in 1938, Alan Lomax invited him to record at the Library of Congress. Over two sessions, Morton told the history of jazz as he saw it during the early decades of the 20th century.
