Rebecca Lloyd Nicholson Papers

Rebecca Lloyd Nicholson (1771-1847) was the wife of Joseph Hopper Nicholson, a Maryland congressman, lawyer, and judge; sister to Mary Tayloe Lloyd Key; and sister-in-law to Francis Scott Key. She was the mother of at least seven children. Her correspondence includes letters from the interrelated Lloyd and Lowndes families, as well as other families and friends, documenting life in Annapolis, Baltimore, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
